Ensuring that data is protected is only the first step. Recovering that data quickly and efficiently in the event of failure is the next step. While SmartStyle includes a revolutionary cloud file system to protect data as it is written, there is little that can be done to protect users from themselves. SmartStyle includes a data retention policy that can be accessed with the Time Traveler tool.
Time Traveler allows for the recovery of data from previous data snapshots by mounting the previous snapshot as a network share. Once shared, the volume can be accessed to recover the lost or deleted data.
