    A: Zenith offers a deposit based 30 day evaluation on the Backup and Disaster Recovery solution.
  • Q: What software (OS and apps) are supported
    A: Zenith supports Microsoft Server 2000 and later operating systems and because the backup is at the block level many types of software are backed up off of the disk.
  • Q: How is communication handled with the NOC and what ticketing systems are there?
    A: Zenith provides a full ticketing system and chat support system for partners to communicate with the NOC. The ticketing system can be used by itself or integrated with Autotask, ConnectWise, or TigerPaw.
  • Q: Does Zenith sell direct?
    A: Zenith is 100% channel focused, meaning that we do not sell directly to end-clients.
  • Q: Where is the BDR offsite backups stored?
    A: Zenith colocates storage facilities in Hagerstown MD and Denver CO to store offsite backups.
  • Q: Is there a warranty on the BDR’s?
    A: The BDR warranty is a part of the pricing and valid for 36 months, extended warranties are also available.
  • Q: How long does it take to failover a server to a virtual machine?
    A: Failover is dependent on how much data there is to restore and how long the backup chain is. Normal failover can be done in under 30 minutes.
  • Q: Can the BDR backup over VPN?
    A: The BDR is designed to backup servers every 15 minutes over a Local Area Connection of 100/1000 Mbps.
  • Q: What is the difference between Current Image and Archived Image in the BDR offsite backups?
    A: The current image only stores the last day’s backup while archive image stores 2 weeks of dailys, 5 weeks of weeklys, and monthlys back to the initial backup.
  • Q: What are your partners getting in regards to margins?
    A: Margins for Business Continutiy are estimated to be about 200%; however Zenith’s partners are free to charge whatever price their market can support.
  • Q: Difference between BDR and ARCA?
    A: The primary difference between Zenith BDR and Zenith ARCA is the BDR is managed by Zenith’s NOC and supports offsite backups at Zenith’s collocated facilities. The ARCA solution send alerts out to a partner or client’s email and is managed by that partner or client (Zenith’s NOC is available for support) and the offsite backups for ARCA can only be done between devices.
  • Q: How do I calculate bandwidth needs for sending offsite backup incrementals?
    A: Typically BDR’s create 5 MB backups per server per day and over a 256 kbps dedicated connection you could expect 1.5-2GB to be replicated offsite in a day based upon calculations and typical usage.
  • Q: How is offsite data storage charged?
    A: Zenith’s offsite backups are charged per GB/per month. There are also BDR models available with bundled offsite backups included.
